Friday I went to pick my Kids up
from pre-school and they had the Holiday sign-up sheet right new to the
door.... I noticed that the juice boxes slot was still blank!!!!!
So I snagged it up and brain stormed
on the ride back home from the school...
Walking in the door to the house I
automatically declared to my husband that I was going to make SANTA CLAUS juice
boxes...
Since I made mummy juice boxes for the Halloween
party back in October.
HOW TO MAKE A SANTA JUICE BOX:
First you are going to need some supplies:
First you are going to need some supplies:
· Juice boxes
· Red felt
· Glue gun
· Glue sticks
· Scissors
· Cotton balls (a bag full)
· Red duck tape
· Hand held hole puncher
Now that you have bought all your supplies....
We
are going to get down to business.
You need to take the straw off the back of the box without ripping the bag of the straw just peel it from the glue stops.
You need to take the straw off the back of the box without ripping the bag of the straw just peel it from the glue stops.
Now that you have your straw detached... set it to the side. And measure a strip of red duck tape to the top of your juice box. Cut it and punch a hole in it so that the hole will line up with the straw hole on the top of the juice box.
Line up the hole and put the duck tape down and fold the
extra sides down.
Proceed to wrap the juice box in red duck tape.
I usually take 3 strips and do one on the top lining it up with the edge, one towards the bottom lining up with the edge, and then I put one on the middle to cover the whole box in red tape. Don’t worry about taping the bottom of the box because no one will be looking at it when they are standing up. Now don’t forget the straw!
Cut a small piece of red duck tape and lay the straw on the side of the box and tape it on.
Once that is done. Draw some triangles on your felt material for the Santa hats.
Cut them out.
Than plug in your hot glue gun and wait for it to heat up. And proceed to glue the hat towards the top of the box.
Once you are done with that take your white puffy paint and make a dot on the top of the hat for his white ball than the white trim at the bottom of the hat. I made mine a little wavy and thick for the 3D feel.
Note: It doesn’t have to dry but if you want to let it sit over night or just keep going but be careful while gluing on the googly eyes.
Glue the Googly eyes under the hat with the hot glue gun.
After that is done get 2 Cotton balls and pull them apart and HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!! Make all different shaped beards and hot glue them under the goggly eyes. Make them as big as you want!! After that is done take one of your fuzzy pom pom balls and hot glue it right between the beard and googly eyes!
You’re done!!!
If you went ahead and did the whole thing at once without letting the white puffy paint dry please note to leave them laying face up overnight so the paint can dry without running down your juice box and ruining all your hard work!!
Enjoy being a crafty genius!
Please post your comments and pictures on your success!!! Your kids, friends, students, and co-workers will love these!! They are so simple and amazing looking!
